Some Manawatū patients needing specialist scans to guide their cancer treatment, especially for prostate cancer, will be spared a trip to Wellington now Mobile Health has a new truck on the road. The new vehicle with a PET-CT scanner on board parked at the back of Crest Hospital in Palmerston North on Thursday to carry out the diagnostic tests for its first three local patients who all had a recent prostate cancer diagnosis.
